Join Les in Celebrating His Passion for Adventure and the Upcoming Release of the survival game Survivorman VR: The Descent
Les Stroud, known for his award-winning work as the producer, creator, director, and star of the hit TV series Survivorman, is bringing his tales of endurance and wealth of survival knowledge to The Outdoor Adventure Show, Canada’s largest outdoor adventure and travel event, taking place from February 24 – 26 at The International Centre in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. Les will also be showcasing his upcoming virtual reality experience, Survivorman VR: The Descent, which launches early 2023 on Meta Quest 2 and PCVR headsets. Cream, the production company behind the game, will have a whole booth experience, with playable versions of Survivorman VR: The Descent, cool swag, and exciting prizes to win!
On Saturday, February 25, at 1:30 pm, guests can hear Les sharing captivating and entertaining stories from his many adventures in some of the harshest terrain on planet Earth with his presentation: Survivorman – Les Stroud Alive and in Person!

Survivorman VR: The Descent is a game of endurance, smarts, and skill, with challenges based on real-world survival scenarios as experienced by Les on his many survival expeditions. Les considers himself a teacher above all, and after decades of educating viewers on how to scrape together a shelter and make fire from essentially nothing, he’s bringing the survival lessons to players first-hand in the most immersive form of audio-visual simulation available: virtual reality.After narrowly evading disaster in a devastating helicopter accident, players must use all of their skills to not only survive severe conditions, but also scale an intimidating mountain to the point where they can be saved. Players must negotiate icy ravines, craft hunting traps, and, most importantly, keep the fire alive by using their arsenal of talents and any objects they can scavenge to fulfill challenges.
