Arcane Wonders is an established board and card game company, but coverage in board game media mainly reaches that specific community. As board games gain mainstream popularity, Arcane Wonders turned to us to build their presence in wider gaming and general press.
One key challenge was that many of their top titles had already been on the market for some time. Our goal was to find new ways to spotlight these games and grow recognition beyond traditional board game audiences, while also boosting their visibility in local communities across the country.
To boost visibility in mainstream and gaming press, we targeted roundups and listicles tied to seasonal events and trending topics. Pitches featured Japanese board games, family picks, multiplayer titles, and gift ideas. With listicles in high demand, timely content helped secure steady coverage.
We also supported Arcane Wonders’ local outreach by donating games to worthy causes, including hospital drives, afterschool programs, and government grants. Though not always press-facing, this effort reflects their values and led to partnerships with the Indiana Afterschool Program and Washington State Library to distribute games across their networks.
Our efforts so far have earned Arcane Wonders placement in press outlets that they haven’t had before. Some of the highlights throughout the year include IGN, TheGamer, WIRED, Destructoid, and Paste.
Arcane Wonders maintains a continuous release calendar, giving us regular opportunities to pitch new roundup ideas and explore larger feature stories. As their game roster expands and our collaboration continues, we’re able to build long-term momentum. This consistent cadence allows us to plan months in advance, stay aligned with evolving press trends, and present fresh, creative ideas that keep the client engaged and satisfied with each meeting.
