Challenges & Goals

Nightdive Studios brought UberStrategist on board to support its portfolio of classic game remasters and reboots. Our role was to provide consistent, high-quality PR support across multiple titles and genres, often with varying timelines and shifting requirements.

Over six years, our partnership has grown to include events, brand-building, and strategic work with licensing partners. Supporting a prolific studio like Nightdive requires agility, creativity, and strong organization across every project.

Strategic Approach

For each game, we craft flexible launch plans based on the project’s needs. We’ve managed 18 launches so far, each with unique messaging, outreach, and timing. Several also involved close collaboration with partners like Lucasfilm Games and NBC Universal for approvals and positioning.

Beyond launches, we coordinate showcase placements (such as Future Games Show, PC Gaming Show, The Mix, and Opening Night Live), handle press appointment booking and booth support, and build Nightdive’s brand through interviews and thought leadership pitching.

Results

We’ve led successful global campaigns for 18 Nightdive titles, tailoring outreach, media strategy, and showcase placements to suit each game's unique strengths and audience. Standout releases such as System Shock, Shadow Man Remastered, STAR WARS: Dark Forces Remaster, and The Thing: Remastered earned widespread coverage and enthusiastic reception from both press and fans.

As a publisher, Nightdive has benefited from consistent thought leadership opportunities, strong tradeshow visibility, and long-term brand-building support. Through our ongoing partnership, the studio continues to strengthen its reputation as a leader in high-quality game preservation and genre-defining remasters.
