Challenges & Goals

Schneider Electric, a leader in energy management, partnered with UberStrategist for a year-long campaign to launch the APC Back-UPS Pro Gaming UPS—the first uninterruptible power supply designed specifically for gamers.

Although having a limited presence in the gaming market, Schneider Electric sought to position the product as essential for protecting gaming PCs and consoles while offering a sleek, gamer-centric design. Our goal was to introduce the APC brand to gaming press while reinforcing its reputation with technology media.

Strategic Approach

We leveraged Schneider Electric’s established credibility in the energy industry to build trust with gaming and tech audiences. Our outreach introduced the APC brand to gaming press unfamiliar with their products while reaffirming their expertise with technology media.

Ahead of the launch, we strategically announced the Pro Gaming UPS and executed a hands-on review campaign to generate coverage and consumer interest. Through targeted media placements, we ensured the product’s value was recognized within both gaming and tech communities.

Results

Our campaign successfully positioned the APC Back-UPS Pro Gaming UPS as a must-have product for gamers, securing coverage across top gaming and tech outlets. Major publications such as Yahoo! Finance, Business Insider, Windows Central, PC World, Forbes, PC Gamer, PCMag, and Linus Tech Tips highlighted the product’s benefits and performance.

By bridging the gap between gaming and technology media, we amplified awareness and credibility for Schneider Electric’s entry into the gaming space. The campaign reinforced APC’s reputation as a trusted power solution provider while establishing its relevance among gamers.
