gamigo, a German publisher known for free-to-play MMORPGs, partnered with UberStrategist to support titles like the voxel MMO Trove and the anime MMO Fiesta Online. With many games over a decade old, their legacy status made media attention a challenge.
Beyond growing its multiplayer player bases, gamigo sought to expand into premium single-player titles. With no established go-to-market plan for the upcoming remaster quadrilogy FATE: Reawakened, our 10-month (and ongoing) PR campaign had to remain agile to balance the unique needs and goals of gamigo’s diverse portfolio.
For gamigo’s MMOs, we leveraged our strong relationships with MMO and multiplayer press to secure targeted coverage where their audience is most active. We maintained regular events and updates to highlight compelling stories for players and media. We identified opportunities to expand awareness, including engaging console-focused outlets that hadn’t covered these niche titles before.
For the announcement of single-player FATE: Reawakened, we targeted press covering retro, RPG, and adventure titles, emphasizing the series' nostalgic appeal. We worked closely with gamigo, adapting our approach as the go-to-market plan evolved to align with PR needs and audience expectations.
So far, our campaign has secured 335 pieces of press coverage for gamigo’s titles, including 50 Tier 1 placements across outlets such as Sportskeeda, 3DMGame, TheGamer, TechTudo, MeinMMO, Bleeding Cool, and PCGamesN. We’ve achieved an impressive combined estimated reach of 4.8 billion, and this number will grow as our work continues.
The results have elevated gamigo’s titles, as our PR efforts have brought fresh attention to their legacy MMOs and built excitement for FATE: Reawakened. As our collaboration continues, we’ll keep leveraging our press relationships and strategic thinking to raise gamigo’s publisher profile and portfolio of games.
