Challenges & Goals

Lilith Games, a renowned Chinese developer, sought to boost visibility for their turn-based RPG gacha game, Dislyte, ahead of its mobile launch. In a crowded and competitive market, the challenge was to differentiate Dislyte and build anticipation among core gamers and niche communities, including anime enthusiasts. The goal was to secure media coverage and engage audiences to generate pre-launch buzz.

Strategic Approach

To achieve the client’s goals, we crafted a strategy highlighting Lilith Games' strengths and Dislyte's appeal. Key tactics included high-impact media exclusives, news alerts, and targeted feature pitches. Early recognition came from exclusives with GameSpot, Screen Rant, and TheGamer.

We implemented an embargoed review strategy for post-launch coverage with influential outlets like DOT Esports, ClutchPoints, and GiveMeSport. Leveraging the game’s anime-inspired visuals and themes, we also targeted anime enthusiast press, landing features on Crunchyroll and Honey’s Anime, while also engaging core mobile gaming press such as Pocket Tactics, Android Police, and Pocket Gamer to reach diverse audiences.

Results

Our campaign generated significant buzz for Dislyte ahead of its launch. The coordinated media push resulted in dozens of stories and features in both core gaming outlets and anime-specific media, vastly expanding the game’s visibility. Highlights included top-tier coverage from global gaming platforms like GameSpot and TheGamer, along with notable features on Crunchyroll and Honey’s Anime, capturing the attention of anime fans.

The campaign also led to widespread coverage across prominent mobile gaming outlets, establishing Dislyte as a must-watch title. This multi-pronged approach significantly bolstered Dislyte's pre-launch presence, contributing to its successful introduction to the global market.
