Challenges & Goals

Poncle, the developers behind the acclaimed Vampire Survivors, approached ÜberStrategist to plan a Halloween-themed press and community event in London for 100 attendees. Having previously organized their community events in-house, Poncle sought fresh ideas to celebrate the release of their new DLC.

Out of three agencies, ÜberStrategist was selected for our creative and detailed proposal. The goal was to create a spooky, immersive experience that combined Halloween with elements inspired by Vampire Survivors and interactive fun such as demo stations, themed games, and photo opportunities.

Strategic Approach

We presented Poncle with three unique venue options, and ultimately they selected Motel Studios in Hoxton. Its exposed brick arches, dating back to the 19th century, perfectly captured the spooky yet atmospheric tone of the Vampire Survivors' Halloween event. From the moment guests arrived, a creepy graveyard gate entrance set the mood, leading them into an immersive experience filled with themed décor and interactive elements.

Spooky props like a 10-foot tall Grim Reaper, a blood-red cocktail ice luge shaped like the game’s logo, and a bespoke hook-a-garlic game brought the Vampire Survivors theme to life. Guests enjoyed hands-on demos for up to 36 players, tasty food from two catering vans, and in- game music spun by a live DJ. To complete the experience, a videographer and photographer captured the atmosphere to ensure the event’s success was preserved and shared.

Results

ÜberStrategist successfully delivered an unforgettable night that celebrated the Vampire Survivors DLC launch in true Halloween style. Coordinating with multiple vendors, we created a fun and spooky atmosphere that delighted attendees.

Guests enjoyed immersive props, engaging activities, themed drinks, and hands-on gameplay, making the event a perfect mix of celebration and interactivity. The attention to detail left a lasting impression on attendees. With great food, in-game music, and high-quality branding throughout the venue, the evening captured the spirit of Vampire Survivors and exceeded Poncle’s expectations.
